The Growing Community Project is a diverse group of individuals and organizations that are working together to develop community gardens within walking distance of every neighborhood in Helena, Montana

We aim to build community gardens, based on community support, which bring together diverse neighborhoods so that we many create community while addressing food security issues. We believe that everyone should have access to healthy, affordable food.

The Growing Community Project is a project of WEEL-Working for Equality and Economic Liberation and AERO- Alternative Engergy Resources Organization. WEEL being the main organization the GCP is housed under. WEEL works with many partner organizations on the GCP, icluding; ExplorationWorks!, PAL-Project for Alternative Learning, the Florence Crittenton Home, Helena Food Share, Friends of Beltview Park, the Helena Park's Department, and many others.
